​Two tornadoes confirmed from Tuesday’s severe weather

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Tuesday’s multiple rounds of storms brought numerous reports of damage to southern Wisconsin. The National Weather Service Milwaukee survey team confirmed two tornadoes touched down during Tuesday’s severe weather event. Both tornadoes occurred in southwester portions of Walworth County Tuesday afternoon.

The first tornado developed in northern Illinois and tracked into Wisconsin south of Walworth before ending east of Walworth. The main structural damage was to a barn on the Illinois side near Weidner Rd where it collapsed and landed on a number of sheep that were sheltering there. Another shed was lofted and destroyed along Six Corners Road near Highway 67.

The second tornado was briefly on the ground south of Darien and hit a horse barn on Wise Road. No injuries to farmers that were taking care of the horses at the time in the barn.
