Their names, however, were not disclosed.

It was a romantic relationship with a tragic ending, after police said a man confessed to stabbing his girlfriend Morgan Schug of Battle Creek over the weekend.
33-year-old Tommie Heard is charged with open murder in connection to Schug's death.

Kalamazoo Public Safety is asking the public for help in identifying three individuals involved in an assault that occurred near Western Michigan University's main campus Tuesday evening.
Around 6:39 p.m., officers were dispatched to W. Michigan Avenue near Howard Street after it was reported that a man was knocked unconscious, authorities said.

Friday, 2015 Lake St. was identified as the official location for 50 temporary housing PODs, or units aiming to provide living quarters for those experiencing homelessness, according to Housing Resources Inc., or HRI.
