A series of tornado warnings were issued well past midnight for southeastern Massachusetts with a tornado watch on the board until 7 a.m.

“Take cover now!” the National Weather Service alert urges.

A tornado watch for the region includes Barnstable, Bristol, Dukes, Plymouth counties and Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket is in effect until 7 a.m.

The NWS adds: “Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.”

The storm being watched will be near:
Gosnold around 11:30 PM EDT.
Dartmouth around 11:35 PM EDT.
New Bedford and Fairhaven around 11:45 PM EDT.
Mattapoisett around 11:50 PM EDT.
Falmouth and Marion around 12 AM EDT.
Wareham around 12:05 AM EDT.
Rochester around 12:10 AM EDT.
Sandwich and Bourne around 12:15 AM EDT.

New timestamps added are:

Tisbury around 12 AM EDT.
Falmouth around 12:15 AM EDT.
Mashpee around 12:25 AM EDT.
Sandwich and Bourne around 12:30 AM EDT.
Barnstable around 12:35 AM EDT.

Again, another round of alerts added new times:
Mashpee around 12:55 AM EDT.
Yarmouth around 1:05 AM EDT.
Barnstable around 1:10 AM EDT.

“Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris,” the weather service added.

The threat remains all too real. A tornado touched down in Mullica Hill, New Jersey, earlier Wednesday eve ripping homes apart, according to multiple reports last night.
