Tornado warnings ended up being triggered in Berkshire County, Hampshire County and western Hampden County in Massachusetts along with northwestern Litchfield County in Connecticut.
Damage was reported from towns in the path of the storm, with photos showing downed trees in communities.
The National Weather Service issues a warning at 7:30pm for southwestern Hampshire County and northwestern Hampden County in western Massachusetts where residents were urged to take cover immediately.
After the tornados were deemed to no longer be a risk, the storms continued with the area hit by several severe thunderstorms according to NBC News.
