Two SC DOC Correctional Officers arrested on drug trafficking charges

(WIS) - The South Carolina Department of Corrections Police Services released the arrest warrants for two Correctional Officers on Wednesday who were arrested on drug trafficking charges.

The two officers were identified as Shavonia Sharay Glaze and Amanda Nicole Wells.

The arrest warrants show that Glaze is charged with possession of cocaine and attempting to furnish a prisoner with contraband. Wells is charged with multiple charges including misconduct in office, furnishing a prisoner with contraband, possession of other substance in Schedule I,II,III or flunitrazepam or with intent to distribute, and criminal conspiracy.

Wells submitted a statement of admission to authorities, according to her arrest warrant.

Both women were working employees at the Ridgeland Correctional Institution in Ridgeland, SC.
