21 tornadoes in the WLKY viewing area this year

It has been an active year for tornadoes in our area. Over the weekend, two tornadoes were confirmed .... Guston in Meade Co.and also just north of Campbellsville.
The damage in Bullitt Co. was from straight line winds.
The Guston tornado was the 20th tornado this year in the WLKY viewing area and the Campbellsville was number 21. That is a record.
Besides it being a stormy year.....better radars, more storm spotters, great communication between county agencies and the NWS... and detailed storm surveys from the Louisville NWS all lead to better information.
