This extraordinary footage gives a rare glimpse at the raw power of a tornado.
The storm hit the Uruguayan city of Dolores last Friday, killing at least four people and injuring hundreds more.
Incredibly, a security camera at shoe shop daPie Calzados survived and captured some terrifying scenes.
Shoppers fled into the store as the winds clearly began to pick up outside.
A worker locks the door as those inside disappear off-screen to hide.
When the tornado hits, the door is immediately swept away, as is the shop windows and just about everything else in its path.
A car is thrown around on the road outside as if it is a child's toy.
Thankfully, it is understood no one in the store was hurt.
Responding to a comment, daPie Calzados wrote on Facebook: "Fortunately everybody who was in the store at that moment is fine. Thank you very much for the support."
Authorities are now attempting to clean up following the tornado, with thousands of people in Uruguay still unable to return to their homes.
